ANGINA BULLOSA HEMORRHAGICA - AN UNCOMMON ORAL LESION
Abstract
Abstract -
Angina Bullosa Hemorrhagica (ABH) is used to describe an acute, benign sub-epithelial oral mucosal blood filled vesicle/vesicles or blisters. Intra-orally a large (2.0 cm diametre) blood filled, painless, raised round vesicle with dark red in colour was found in the posterior to the hard palate, extending towards soft palate of the patient. On the basis of history, clinical appearance and absence of any laboratory findings suggestive of bleeding disorder, a diagnosis of Angina Bullosa Hemorrhagica was established and an excisional biopsy was planned with successful outcome.
